Leaside Garfield

There was one colossal Garfield painted on the Leaside bridge until he was tragically erased by the city sometime in August 2021. In retaliation, the Toronto Garfield Task Force painted a new Garfield on a support pillar adjacent to the one once home to our fallen saviour.

The original Garfield in his glory. May he rest in peace.

Located on the first support pillar north of the bridge, the original Garfield was legendary and beloved by all. Since his passing, a small piece of funerary vandalism has been committed by an unknown individual. It reads "rip" accompanied by Garfield's likeness.

The second Garfield. He is depicted relaxing, suggesting that attempts to censor him are futile.

A new Garfield has since been painted.
