PeerTube is a free and open source video sharing platform which is notable for offloading some of the process of distributing media onto clients, who can share segments amongst each other instead of downloading everything from the server. This helps lessen the load on the server when many people watch the same video at once. PeerTube documentation is available here.
Our Instance
PeerTube has federation features which allow you to make content from other instances available on your instance, but we only use it as a video host.
